ZenoLase, a natural senolytic active developed by Dr. Tawin Iempridee's research team at Thailand's National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), was one of three finalists in the Academic category of The Cosmetic Victories 2023, the competition's 8th edition. The jury heard the finalists on 4 April 2023 at the Hôtel Le Marois in Paris, France. The project was entered as "Zenolase – The Most Potent Natural Senolytic Ingredient".
France's cosmetic innovation competition
Cosmetic Victories was created in 2015 by Cosmetic Valley, the French cosmetics industry cluster, and is backed by an endowment fund with ESSEC. In 2023 it received 112 projects from 16 countries and chose six finalists, three in the Academic category and three in the Industrial category, from Thailand, South Korea, Germany and France.
From research to KronoLife
After the competition, Dr. Tawin co-founded KronoLife in June 2023 to turn ZenoLase and other actives that target senescent cells into products. ZenoLase is now the key active of ZenoLase Evanesce Prime Serum, and brands can license it or co-develop with it.
ZenoLase targets senescent cells in skin, one of the hallmarks of aging. The technology page sets out the evidence for each active.
